The University College of Business (UCBS) was established in the year 1996 and it is a constituent institution of Himachal Pradesh University (Accredited with ‘A’ grade by NAAC) founded on July 22, 1970. The institute is nestled amidst tall and lush green trees of deodars, oaks, pines and rhododendrons. The location of the institute presents a panoramic natural view among the woods and it is one of the pioneer institutions in the fields of Management and Computer Science in the North India. The mission of University College of Business Studies (UCBS) is to nurture future business leaders and computer professionals with character, competence and enthusiasm. These leaders would be capable of comprehending diverse populace, complex situations and conflicting requirements keeping design thinking as the framework for decisionmaking.

The BBA and BCA programs of institute are designed to prepare corporate leaders who can solve cross-functional and multidimensional problems of the business world. Besides this, one of our fundamental priorities is to instill in students a sense of ethics and sustainability. These qualities, along with our unique curriculum which integrates management and computer disciplines with Liberal Arts and Design Thinking, ensure that our graduates take on global challenges with a clear understanding of how organizations work and a human-centric approach to problemsolving.
