Welcome to the Department of Forensic Science at Himachal Pradesh University! I am pleased to introduce you to our department, which is one of the leading forensic science departments in India. We offer a postgraduate program in forensic science, (M.Sc. Forensic Science- Two Years). Our program is designed to provide our students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in the field of forensic science. In addition to our academic and research programs, we also offer a number of outreach programs to the community. These programs are designed to raise awareness of forensic science and to educate the public about the importance of forensic science in the criminal justice system. The Department of Forensic Sciences at Himachal Pradesh University is home to a team of highly experienced and qualified faculty members. They have a wealth of experience in the field of forensic science, and they are committed to providing their students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in this demanding field.

The Department admits 30 students in M.Sc. Forensic Science program every year through Merit Based Admission in which 15 are subsidised and 15 are non subsidised while 10 over and above special seats are also available. Since its inception, the Department of Forensic Science has established itself as a leader in academics and research at the national level. This is due to our strong academic and research programs, which have produced graduates who are now working in renowned institutions and industries around the world.
