With the future in our sight and the duty towards nation-building in mind, our Master’s curriculum is modern with its focus on empowerment to harness the communication potential of mobile and digital technologies, and socially responsible in sensitizing them to over-enthusiasm in use of the digital resources.

Our faculty includes some of the best in their fields – award-winning and veteran journalists, experts in film and audio-video production, online and digital media specialists, seasoned researchers, and dedicated teachers.

The Department is also very proud of our doctoral programme in media and communication research, one of the oldest in Northern India.  Since the programme started in 2001 dozens of scholars have had a chance to earn their doctoral degrees. At any given time more than a dozen UGC fellows and PhD candidates follow their research dreams under the guidance of our dedicated faculty, all of who hold PhD degrees.
