It gives me immense pleasure to introduce to you the Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. The Institute has been a pioneer in the country since 1992 in offering professional courses in Tourism and Hospitality Management. The courses offered by the Institute include the Ph.D. in Tourism, Master in Tourism and Travel Management, Master in Hospitality Management, Five-Year Integrated Course in Tourism and Travel Management, and Bachelor in Hotel Management.

The Institute is located in Himachal Pradesh, a state blessed with immense tourism potential. Tourism plays a significant role in promoting self-employment, women’s empowerment, entrepreneurship, and wealth creation in rural areas.
