Himachal Pradesh University is amongst the leading universities of north India.  Since its inception in 1970, the university has come a long way. Being an affiliating university, all the postgraduate and the undergraduate degree colleges of the state are affiliated to it.

After the completion of their degrees, Himachal Pradesh University students have been bringing credit to the institution and to themselves. We offer Master's degree, M.Phil. and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programmes besides a number of diploma and certificate courses. We advertise our programmes widely in prominent local and national newspapers every year. Admission is based on the score in the entrance tests in the majority of the courses.
