H.P. University Sports and Youth Activities

About Us:

The Himachal Pradesh University came into existence on 22nd July, 1970. To uplift Sports and Co-Curricular Activities among students, the University formed its Sports and Co-Curricular Activities Council (HPUS&CAC) in 1972. The first Director was Padam Shri Charanjit Singh, captain of the Indian Hockey Team at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics.

From the academic session 1973-74, the University began conducting Inter College competitions and youth festivals.

• North Zone Inter Varsity (Individual): ₹6000 (1st), ₹5000 (2nd), ₹4000 (3rd), ₹2000 (4th)
• Team events: ₹5000 (1st), ₹4500 (2nd), ₹4000 (3rd), ₹1000 (4th)
• All India Inter Varsity (Individual): ₹20000 (1st), ₹15000 (2nd), ₹12000 (3rd), ₹1500 (4th)
• All India Team: ₹8000 (1st), ₹6000 (2nd), ₹5000 (3rd), ₹2000 (4th)
