H.P. University Sports and Youth Activities
About Us:
The Himachal Pradesh University came into existence on 22nd July, 1970. To uplift Sports and Co-Curricular Activities among students, the University formed its Sports and Co-Curricular Activities Council (HPUS&CAC) in 1972. The first Director was Padam Shri Charanjit Singh, captain of the Indian Hockey Team at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics.
From the academic session 1973-74, the University began conducting Inter College competitions and youth festivals.

H.P. University conducts 44 games and 25 youth activity events at both Inter College and Inter University levels.

- Team events: ₹5000 (1st), ₹4500 (2nd), ₹4000 (3rd), ₹1000 (4th)
- All India Inter Varsity (Individual): ₹20000 (1st), ₹15000 (2nd), ₹12000 (3rd), ₹1500 (4th)
