Areas of Research: Power system engineering, power quality, power electronic converters and its application in renewable energy systems, soft computing applications in renewable energy systems and microgrid.

Dr. Nikita Gupta received B. Tech degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur, India in 2011 and M. Tech degree in Power Systems from Delhi Technological University, Delhi, India in 2014.  She has completed her Ph.D. degree in Department of Electrical Engineering from Delhi Technological University, Delhi, India in December 2018. She has worked as lecturer on contract in NIT Hamirpur from 2017 to 2020. Presently, she is working as Assistant Professor in University Institute of Technology, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla (H.P), India.
