1. ACTIVITIES

• The Bioinformatics Centre provides support to the department of Biotechnology for organizing practices in “Computer and Bioinformatics” for M. Sc. Biotechnology students.
• Diploma/Certificates Course in Bioinformatics being introduced from the new session (2008-2009)

2. RESEARCH

The Bioinformatics Centre of HP University has developed databases on

• Microbial diversity of Himachal Pradesh.
• Traditional Fermented Foods and Beverages of Himachal Pradesh.

3. EXTENSION

The Centre Provides all support to research scholars, students and teachers of various departments of this University and the neighboring institutions to access information from online and offline databases and also assist in analyzing biological data.
