Prof. Deepankar Choudhury, T. Kant Chair Professor and Head, Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay will be acting as the mentor of the newly constituted Department of Civil Engineering. Prof. Choudhury is a renowned Professor and worldwide known for his remarkable contribution in the field of Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering. He has already been mentoring prestigious institutions such as IIT Gandhinagar and IIT Jodhpur. Having him as a mentor would definitely boost the academic and research growth of the newly constituted department besides improving the perception.
