Himachal Pradesh University Journal seeks to provide a space for broad and synthetic discussion within the spheres of humanities and social sciences. The Journal publishes research papers, articles, essays, reports, and book reviews on a wide range of topics of interest to the students and the scholars of humanities and social sciences. The journal focuses specifically on the issues of research applicability by encouraging the submissions that, in a concrete way, apply social science or critically reflect on the application of social science. In the meantime, HPUJ seeks to promote a broad public discussion and synergistic understanding within the described scope of the journal that is essential for the advancement of research and promotion of the scholarly community.
Submission of Manus
All the manus should be submitted electronically at the email hpuniversityjournal@gmail.com The Editorial Team at HPUJ uses a peer review process for all submissions. Please do not try to contact any member of the editorial board with information about your manu or asking about the status of your submission, as this affects the review process adversely. General inquiries may be directed to the Editor, Harish K. Thakur, at the email ID: hpuniversityjournal@gmail,com If the authors would like to have their books considered for review, they are advised to ask their publishers to send a copy of the book at the editorial address given below. Submissions and Review
HPUJ does not consider papers that are currently under review at other journals. Authors are requested not to submit manus which are substantially similar to those published elsewhere (including chapters in books or articles published in Ÿother languages). Authors are required to email a minimum of two separate files: A title page including title of the full manu, author/authors' name and contact information (mailing address, Ÿtelephone, email address) rank and institutional affiliation. An anonymous digital file of your paper. This file should not include any information that identifies the author/authors, or any other collaborators in the work. It should also avoid references to colleagues, or institutions or information that may help their identification.
Style and Format
All the submissions should be typed in Times New Roman, Font 12, double-spaced, and should follow the APA Seventh Edition style sheet discussed below. Notes and references should appear at the end of the manu. Each manu should include a brief abstract of 100-150 words describing the subject, general approach, intended purpose of the article, and findings with 5-6 keywords for indexing and online searching. The papers should be approximately between 3500 to 8000 words. However, Book Reviews or reports or research notes should not exceed 2500 words. The tables and figures should be inside the text of the manu. Tables should be in editable format.
Each submission must use super numbers for notes (“social problems begin with an objective condition, that can be measured”.1) to be mentioned at the end of paper in the order of Notes and References. All works cited (even in the notes) must be mentioned in the references. Authors are responsible for providing accurate and complete reference information. In-text citations should contain author, year, and page number, where applicable. We follow APA seventh edition.
