Institute of Vocational Studies, HPU Shimla, celebrated the World Tourism Day on 27th September, 2023 in the department. The theme of the event was "TOURISM AND GREEN INVESTMENTS". On this occasion Prof. Shyam Lal Kaushal, (Dean Student Welfare also holding the charge of Dean of Studies) was the Chief Guest. Prof. Arvind Bhatt (Dean Planning & Teachers' matter) along with Prof. S.S. Narta (Dean Faculty of Commerce & Management) were the esteemed guests for the event.

On this day department invited Mr. Arun Rawat (Managing Director -The Glide Inn Adventure & Hospitality Company), Mr Sanjay Austa (Entrepreneur in Eco Tourism), Mr. Rajeev Bhardwaj (Executive Chef - Hotel Radisson Shimla) as resource persons. All the resource persons gave their valueable insights about the importance of green investment in tourism.

The Institute of Vocational Studies signed a memorandum of understanding with The Glide Inn, Adventure & Hospitality Company on mutual sharing of resources and expertise for the benifit of the students of IVS. All the faculty members and students of MTTM, BTTM & BHM were present throughout the event.
