Mentor-Mentee program launched in the Institute of Vocational Studies (Tourism).
HPU Alumni Association launched Intense Mentor-Mentee program in Institute of Vocational Studies (Tourism), as part of their Induction Programme 2021.
In the program, the following Alumni were invited to interact with students.
- Mr. Namish Sharma with an industrial experience of 20 years and presently working in FCM Travel company in Delhi.
- Ms. Monika Kamboj, 2004-06 batch, currently running her own company.
- Dr. Hapinder Bhranta, 2008 -10 batch currently working as Assistant Professor in Government College, Shimla
- Ishant Dube, 2016-18 batch, who worked in Cox and Kings and is now teaching in a Tourism Institute.
The guests included HPUAA president Retd. Prof. P.K Ahluwali. Director of the Institute Prof . Chader Mohan Parsheera and all alumni faculty of the Institute (Prof Sonia, Prof. Sushma, Dr .Nitin) of the Institute inaugurated the program. Prof Chander Mohan welcomed all guests and felicitated the Alumni with Himachali shawl, cap and mementoes.
The Alumni shared their experiences and success stories of working in the Travel Industry. They appreciated the event and expressed their desire to contribute to their parent Department and H. P. University.Prof P.K. Ahluwalia highlighted various initiatives taken by HPUAA in recent days. He asked the Alumni to get connected with the HPU and appreciated willingness to do so.
The interaction ended with a cultural function presented by the students of Institute.
The event ended with a vote of thanks followed by lunch.
